Musician and content creator Slimcase has revealed that superstar singer Wizkid has numerous unreleased song collaborations with Nigerian artists. In a recent interview on Naija FM, Slimcase explained that Wizkid’s meticulous standards are the primary reason many of these collaborations never see the light of day.
Slimcase shared that Wizkid allows his collaborators complete creative freedom during the recording process. “When you make music with Wizkid, he will let you do your thing without any scrutiny,” he said. However, once the recording session is over, Wizkid subjects the songs to intense scrutiny, listening to them multiple times to ensure they meet his high standards. “In your absence, he can listen to the song like 50 times to know if the song meets his standard,” Slimcase added.
This rigorous evaluation process often results in many songs not being released, as they do not meet Wizkid’s expectations. “That is why you see artistes in the studio with Wizkid and the song never drops,” Slimcase concluded.
