In a recent interview with Nigeria Television Authority (NTA), former President Muhammadu Buhari revealed that he doesn’t miss his time as president.
This marks his first interview since leaving office on May 29, 2023. When asked about what he misses from his presidency, Buhari responded with a straightforward, “Miss. I don’t think I miss much.”
This sentiment echoes his previous statement in December 2022, where he expressed that he wouldn’t miss his time in office due to feeling “harassed.”
Despite asserting that he was doing his best for Nigerians, Buhari acknowledged that his efforts fell short, stating, “I believe I’m trying my best, but still my best is not good enough.”
During his tenure from 2015 to 2021, Buhari spent a considerable amount of time on medical vacation in the United Kingdom, totaling 171 days.
The year 2017 alone accounted for 152 days away. Reflecting on his health challenges during his presidency, Buhari remarked, “I think only my doctor can honestly answer this question.”
The full version of the interview is set to air on Monday at 10:30 pm, providing a more comprehensive look at Buhari’s perspective post-presidency.
