Veteran Nollywood actor Emmanuel France has reportedly passed away, according to Nigerian filmmaker Olufemi Ogedengbe, who announced the tragic news on his Instagram page.
Ogedengbe, while paying tribute, described France as a legend and reminisced about working with him on three movie projects in Tanzania in 2006, including Cross My Sin, She Is My Sister, and The Director. The filmmaker referred to the late actor as “Uncle” and expressed his grief over the loss.
Ogedengbe wrote, “Rest in peace to one of Nollywood legends. Uncle Emmanuel France, one of the actors I took to Tanzania in 2006, shot three movies with him: Cross My Sin, She Is My Sister, and The Director. R.I.P.”
The cause of Emmanuel France’s death remains unknown at this time. Fans and colleagues have begun mourning the actor, flooding the comment section of the post with tributes and messages of condolence.
