
In celebration of Valentine’s Day, Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, representing Kogi Central Senatorial District, has inaugurated a state-of-the-art music studio for artistes in her constituency. As part of the initiative, she also provided cash support to 30 artistes, reinforcing her commitment to promoting local talent and fostering the growth of the entertainment industry in Kogi Central.
The unveiling took place on February 14, during a special Valentine’s Day event tagged “Alema/Ohiogu Love Fest,” organized by the Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan Foundation. The event brought together several artistes and entertainers for a day filled with music and celebration.

A Studio for Kogi Central Artistes
The newly established music studio, located at the senator’s constituency office in Oro, Okene Local Government Area, was first commissioned by former House of Representatives member, Alhaji Abdulrahman Badamasiu. It is now open to all artistes from Kogi Central, allowing them to record their songs free of charge.
Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan urged artistes to make the most of the facility, emphasizing the importance of efficient time management and creativity in their work.

Star-Studded Performances and Cash Support
The event featured electrifying performances from top artistes including Yunique, DanOzizi, 2Rich, Ajemo, Dreez, ITabriz, Victor Justified, Anayisi, Nickyberry, MC Mansho, S Pretty, Fatai Jimoh, and Language, among others. Their performances thrilled the audience and showcased the depth of talent within Kogi Central.
To further empower local artistes, Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan awarded ten artistes ₦300,000 each to support their music careers. Additionally, other performers at the event also received financial support from the senator.
Commitment to Local Talent Development
This initiative is part of Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan’s broader vision to create an enabling environment for artistes in Kogi Central. By providing free access to a modern recording studio and financial aid, she aims to nurture the entertainment industry, support local talent, and open doors to greater opportunities for artistes in the region.
The newly launched studio is expected to serve as a hub for aspiring musicians, helping them hone their craft and contribute to the growth of the entertainment industry in Kogi Central and beyond.
