Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, representing Kogi Central senatorial district, has successfully facilitated relief materials from the MTN Foundation for orphanages in the region. This initiative aims to alleviate the challenges faced by orphanages and support vulnerable children in the senatorial district.
As part of MTN Foundation’s corporate social responsibility, the relief materials were handed over to representatives of various orphanages in Kogi Central. The MTN Nigeria Sales Specialist, Ebubechukwu Ndulue, and the Project Coordinator, Adaku Ndukwe, ensured that the requested items were delivered as per the specifications.
The distribution event took place at Darul-Arqam in Okene, where representatives from orphanages, including MASWAJ Orphanage Foundation, Raaaf Foundation, Orphans Friends Foundation, and Oyiza Salem Divine Orphanage Home, were present to receive the donated items.
The items distributed include essential supplies such as deep freezers, rice, vegetable oil, spaghetti, medicated soap, disinfectants, milo, garri, milk, red oil, Maggi seasoning, detergent, sugar, and yams. These provisions are intended to support the daily needs of the orphanages and contribute to improving the welfare of the children under their care.
Senator Natasha’s initiative underscores her commitment to serving the community and addressing the needs of vulnerable groups, particularly orphaned children. Through collaborative efforts with corporate organizations like MTN Foundation, significant impact can be achieved in uplifting communities and ensuring the well-being of all citizens.
