President Bola Tinubu departed Abuja on Wednesday for a two-week vacation in the United Kingdom, according to a statement by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga. The statement revealed that the vacation is part of Tinubu’s annual leave, during which he will also engage in a working retreat to reflect on his administration’s ongoing economic reforms.
This trip marks Tinubu’s 27th foreign visit since he assumed office in May 2023 and his fourth visit to the UK. He is expected to return to Nigeria at the end of the leave.
The President’s departure comes two weeks after his recent visit to London, where he met with King Charles III. Since assuming office, Tinubu has traveled to several international destinations, including Equatorial Guinea, Kenya, South Africa, India, the United States, the United Arab Emirates, and Germany.
