The Youth Leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kogi State, Olukayode Emmanuel, has advised Alhaji Muritala Ajaka and the Social Democratic Party (SDP) to accept the results of the recently concluded Kogi State Governorship election. In a counter protest at the INEC headquarters in Lokoja, Emmanuel commended the credibility, freedom, and fairness of the off-cycle election, urging the SDP candidate to respect the wishes of the people.

During the protest, which gathered over a thousand youths from across the state, Emmanuel denounced the threat made by the SDP and Ajaka to burn down INEC, labeling it as a threat to democracy. He highlighted the peaceful and orderly nature of the election, expressing appreciation for Sen. Dino Melaye’s acceptance of the outcome without challenging it in the Tribunal.
