Ogunrinde, a resident of Adu Town, Ajebo Road, Mile 6, Abeokuta, reportedly tricked Daniel into taking him to Olubo town on his motorcycle by posing as a passenger. Upon arrival, Ogunrinde allegedly stabbed Daniel in the neck and arm, leaving him in a pool of blood before fleeing the scene with the victim’s motorbike.

During interrogation, Ogunrinde confessed that his motive was to kill Daniel, whom he believed had an affair with his wife two months prior. He assumed Daniel had died from the attack, unaware that Daniel was rushed to the Federal Medical Centre in Abeokuta, where he is currently receiving treatment.

The suspect and the recovered motorbike have been transferred to the Nigeria Police Force’s SWAT unit in Magbon for further investigation and potential prosecution.
