The Vice Chancellor of Kogi State University, Kabba, Professor K.I.T. Eniola, has been honored with an award of excellence by the Okun Youth Frontiers, a socio-cultural coalition of youth organizations. The award was presented in recognition of Professor Eniola’s exceptional leadership and his significant contributions to the development and growth of the institution.
Barrister Emmanuel Ayedogbon, the leader of the group, praised the Vice Chancellor’s tireless efforts in advancing the university’s progress. He highlighted that the university’s vibrant public relations unit has effectively showcased the numerous accomplishments of Professor Eniola and his team, positioning the institution as a leading educational establishment.
In his acceptance speech, Professor Eniola expressed deep gratitude to the group for the recognition. He acknowledged the unwavering support of the Kogi State Government, noting that both the visionary leadership of the former governor, who established the university, and the commitment of the current administration under Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, have been instrumental in the university’s continued success.
The Vice Chancellor also emphasized the collaborative efforts of the university’s management and staff, stating that the achievements made under his leadership would not have been possible without their collective dedication. He reaffirmed his commitment to raising a generation of globally competitive, nationally recognized, and locally relevant students.
Supporting the award, the Registrar of the university, Dr. J.U. Amodu, noted that the recognition was well-deserved, given the substantial progress the university has made under Professor Eniola’s leadership. He also commended the Okun Youth Frontiers for their interest in promoting the institution’s excellence.
Similarly, Dr. Nasiru Muhammed Ibrahim, Head of the Political Science Department, congratulated the Vice Chancellor and praised the youth group for highlighting the successes of academic institutions in the region.
The award reflects the growing recognition of Kogi State University as a hub of educational excellence under the stewardship of Professor Eniola.
