Kogi State House of Assembly Confirms 11 New Appointees by Governor Ododo

The Kogi State House of Assembly has officially confirmed 11 new appointees nominated by Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo during its recent plenary session.

The confirmed appointees include Christopher Ayo Olubunmi, who has been appointed as the Executive Chairman of the Kogi State Christian Pilgrims Commission, alongside Steven Joseph, Barnabas Oyibo, and Himmikaye Joe-Dare Babajide, who have been designated as Permanent Members I, II, and III respectively.

Additionally, the Assembly has approved the appointment of Sheikh Luqman Imam Abdullahi as the Executive Chairman of the Kogi State Hajj Commission, along with Hon. Sarikiv Abdullahi Abdulkadir, Mohammed Yahaya Abubilat, and Haruna Dauda Okuku as Permanent Members I, II, and III respectively.

Former Majority Leader of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Alhassan Adakeke, has been confirmed as Permanent Member I of the Kogi State Universal Basic Education Board, while Dauda Aliyu and Abdulrahaman Aziz Obini have been confirmed as Permanent Members I and II respectively of the same agency.

The confirmation of these appointees highlights the State Assembly’s commitment to facilitating the smooth functioning of governmental bodies and ensuring effective leadership across various sectors in Kogi State.
