A total of 41 students graduated with first-class honors from the Federal University Lokoja (FUL), Kogi State, during its eighth convocation ceremony. This was disclosed by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Olayemi Akinwumi, on Monday during the event held at the Felele campus.
Prof. Akinwumi provided a breakdown of the graduates’ performances, revealing that 461 students earned second-class upper degrees, while 974 graduated with second-class lower degrees. Additionally, 384 students graduated with third-class honors, and 3 students received a pass.

He described the ceremony as a significant moment for both the university and the graduates, highlighting their hard work, dedication, and perseverance over the years. He also announced that honorary degrees would be awarded to distinguished individuals who have made notable contributions to the development of the university and the country.
Prof. Akinwumi congratulated the graduating students, expressing pride in their achievements and encouraging them to carry forward the values they learned at FUL, such as respect, integrity, innovation, dedication, and diligence, as they embark on the next phase of their lives.
