The Kogi State House of Assembly has confirmed 21 nominees as secretaries for the state’s local government areas. The confirmation, which took place during a plenary session on Tuesday, followed nominations submitted by the chairmen of each local government area.
The confirmed secretaries include:

- Mrs. Yetunde Olaoye Margaret (Ijumu)
- Momohsani Salami (Ajaokuta)
- Abdullahi Salihu Ali (Bassa)
- Friday Fadipe (Ogori/Magongo)
- Daniel Tope David (Mopamuro)
- Muhammed Edicha (Igalamela-Odolu)
- Mrs. Grace Paka Ogala (Idah)
- Salihu Muhammed (Dekina)
- Ojo Martins Sunday (Kabba/Bunnu)
- Idoga Moses (Ofu)
- Joseph Oyibo (Omala)
- Musa Kareem (Yagba East)

Following the confirmation, Umar Muhammed from Kogi/Koton-Karfe and Mrs. Grace Paka Ogala from Idah called on their constituencies for support to ensure successful service.
The Speaker of the House, Aliyu Umar Yusuf, commended the lawmakers for a successful screening process and urged the newly confirmed secretaries to prioritize the state’s welfare above all else in their roles.
