Hon. Ali Bello (Atimpo), the Chief of Staff to the Governor of Kogi State, has initiated a youth empowerment program to support young entrepreneurs in Agassa, Ahache, and Upogoro communities in Okene Local Government. The program aims to provide financial assistance to enhance the livelihoods of young individuals engaged in various trades, thereby boosting the local economy and encouraging growth within these communities.
In this first phase, 18 entrepreneurs from diverse fields, such as tailoring, farming, trading, motorcycling, and taxi driving, were selected to receive financial support. Below is the list of beneficiaries and the amount each received:

- Momohjimoh AbdulWahab – ₦970,000
- Shaibu Ashraf – ₦700,000
- Shaibu Hassan – ₦500,000
- Salihu Abdulahi – ₦600,000
- Bello Lukman – ₦500,000
- Ahmed Abdulhakeem – ₦500,000
- Umar Mustapha – ₦500,000
- Ogambo Mateen – ₦500,000
- Momoh Jibril – ₦500,000
- Yakubu Majeed – ₦500,000
- Yusuf Abdullahi Onimisi – ₦500,000
- Musa Hassan Omeiza – ₦500,000
- Sheidu AbdulRahman – ₦500,000
- Nasiru Yusuf – ₦500,000
- Salam Yekini O. – ₦500,000
- John Sunday Emmanuel – ₦500,000
- Sanni Ibrahim – ₦500,000
- Umar Ridiwon – ₦500,000
This initiative is aimed at providing a solid foundation for young people to grow their businesses or acquire vocational training, promoting sustainable development in these communities.
During the event, Hon. Ali Bello appreciated Governor Usman Ododo for making this program possible and urged the beneficiaries to use the funds wisely. He also reiterated the government’s commitment to further empowering the youth and providing more opportunities for economic development in the state.
