Christmas: Kogi First Lady Extends Festive Greetings and Calls for Unity
Hajia Sefinat Usman Ododo, the First Lady of Kogi State, has extended her warm Christmas and New Year wishes to Christians and all residents of the state, emphasizing the spirit of joy, love, and peace that the season represents.

In a statement released on Wednesday, Mrs. Ododo encouraged Kogites to uphold these values beyond the festive period, saying, “As we celebrate this joyous season of Christmas and New Year, I wish you love, peace, and happiness in your homes and families. May this festive season continue to boost peace and happiness beyond the celebration.”
The First Lady reflected on the progress made in 2024, particularly in empowering women, girls, and vulnerable groups. She expressed optimism for a prosperous 2025, praying for greater opportunities for growth and development in Kogi State.
Mrs. Ododo also highlighted the importance of unity among residents across the state’s three senatorial districts, calling for collective efforts to maximize the benefits of good governance.
“This administration, led by Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, will continue to prioritize the welfare of Kogites by providing quality healthcare, education, improved infrastructure, and expanded agricultural initiatives to grow the economy and create more wealth,” she affirmed.
She concluded by encouraging residents to embrace cooperation and harmony as the state looks forward to continued progress in the coming year.
