Officials from the Lagos Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have initiated an investigation into Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, for purportedly engaging in the spraying of Naira notes.

The EFCC summoned the 31-year-old individual following the circulation of a video allegedly depicting him showering and exhibiting bundles of fresh Naira notes during the premiere of the movie “Ajakaju,” produced by Nollywood actress and producer Eniola Ajao. The event took place at Film One Circle Mall, Lekki, Lagos, on March 24, 2024.

Further scrutiny revealed additional instances where Bobrisky purportedly committed similar acts at various event venues and parties on different occasions.

In response to the Commission’s invitation, Bobrisky appeared at the Lagos Zonal Command of the EFCC on the morning of Wednesday, April 4, 2024, to undergo interrogation and provide his statement voluntarily.

Upon the completion of investigations, he is expected to face charges in court.
